Resolutions, Ordinances, or Other Climate Legislation

This assessment is based on three pieces of legislation. On April 13, 2021, the City of Signal Hill adopted resolutions committing to the Energy Upgrade California program, a statewide initiative focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Through these commitments, Signal Hill pledges to educate residents and businesses on energy-saving practices and encourage community adoption of conservation actions. The resolutions align the city with California’s climate targets to double energy efficiency, increase renewable energy generation to 33 percent, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2030. The city’s participation supports both environmental preservation and community engagement in energy management.
