Reports & Planning Documents

This overview is based on two climate planning documents from North Vancouver municipalities. The City of North Vancouver’s 2013 Climate Change Adaptation Plan addresses resilience against flooding, extreme weather, and infrastructure vulnerabilities through actions spanning land use, transportation, community wellbeing, natural environment, parks, and municipal infrastructure. The District of North Vancouver’s IMPACT2050 plan, approved in 2019, targets carbon neutrality by 2050 through over 80 actions focused on Transportation & Land Use, Buildings & Energy, Solid Waste, and Urban Forestry, with interim emissions reduction milestones of 45% by 2030.
